Sushi

This was his second try. His first was actually better -I just did not have my camera out yet.

Where to start

We had the best time on our trip with Oma and Opa. WE love them tons and they are the best grandparents in the world! Wish we got to see them everyday. We did so much neat stuff. Mom does not have pics of everything as sometimes her hands were full and Opa used his camera. He is going to mail those this week to Mom. So Mom might add some more later.

We had a pretty good plane ride. We loved watching the planes. I was great just set there and watched out the window-Amelia was the hard one. Mom was nto sure if she was having trouble with her ears as she was screaming.

When we got to Michigan we went to dinner at a nice sushi restaurant. Amelia and I are not big fans. And this is a adult place so they had no kids menu. But, I ate salad for the first time ( that I have not spit out) and did real good with chopstick.

Then we left for Traverse City. We swam a lot there. Had a condo on the beach. We just had a good time going out to eat, getting ice cream, and playing. One day we went to Sleepy Bear Dunes National Park. WE had a great time climbing the sand. I went all the way to the top ( and was tired) and Amelia walked most of the way to .

On Wednesday we packed up the car and left for Mackinac Island. We stayed in a cabin on the water over looking the mackinac bridge. We have learned that next year we are going to stay in one place all week. To much to pack up and set up. Here we ate. I really enjoyed ribs and white fish ( which Mom could not believe I was eating as I don't really like meat). We swam a lot ( my sister and I are both really good), throw rocks in the water, watched horses, biked around the whole island ) 8.5 miles), had campfires ( we had marshmellows), played on a neat playground, went on a boat ride. We did so much and Mom learned we are more fleible then she thought we stayed up to like 11 each night.

On Friday we left for the farm. Friday night and Saturday we had a great time farming. I drove the Gator- I actually drive ( I know how to stear it) I just have to sit on Opa's lap and he does the pedals -I can't reach. Then we had to do the real farm work. Amelia and I picked berries and I mowed with Opa. I wore ear plugs.

We had a great trip and have many memories. We made it back home. Mom has been busy catching up around home. And has already took us on a few activities this week. And mom is happy to report we got right back on schedule.

Free Food

As many of you know Mom can not refuse a bargin. She just saw in her magaizine that if you can get any free item ( up to 10.00 of your choice) from Schwans. You have to be new- but no strings. I am sure they will give you a catalog and try to get you to buy but you don't have to. And they have to deliver to your area. I just placed my order. You do have to register- but can skip over the part where it asked for a credit card. It is at www.schwans.com/free

Oma and Opa here we come

I am going to take a break from posting for the next week or so. Amelia, Mom , and I are headed up to Oma and Opa's for a nice vacation. We are so excited and have been talking about it for weeks. The only sad thing about it is Daddy won't be able to go. We had planned for him to join us ( but he has too much going on at work). So hopefully, Amelia and I don't put Mom through the ringer on the plane. Since she has both of us and it will be just her. How fun. Oma and Opa we will be there tomorrow get ready.

I'm such a big girl

Yep it is me Amelia you don't here from me as much as my big brother. We are having such a fun summer with Mommy. I thought I would give a few updates on what I have been updating. Boy, I am changing fast ( not so sure Mom is ready for this). I know know all my body parts, can run, climb on just about anything. Mom is also working on Baron and I staying close together so I don't need a stroller. So I will often hold Baron's hand when going in and out of stores. He knows he has to go slow with me and does a good job. Mom also noticed that I have been wanting to go to the bathroom when Baron goes. So the last 2 days she has set me on the toilet and I have went to the bathroom for her. It funny how watching a big brother works both ways sometimes it is great sometimes not so good when I see things I am not capable of. Mom is not going to potty train me till I can talk better so maybe around Christmas ( she is just getting over all the time in the bathroom with Baron). He was fully trained even at night a few month before he was 2.5. But he was going on the toilet since 2 and I am kind of ahead of him ( at least that is with Mom says)

Botanical Garden

Today we set out on an outing to the Botanical Garden. It is the oldest one in the county and biggest. It is such a pretty place and has a great kids area( with water fountains). We went with 2 of Mom friends and their kids. So there were 3 other boys that joined Amelia and I in the fun. We had such a fun time. But, Mom did not get too many nice pictures. We even all ate at the restaurant at the Garden ( I was kind of wild since my friends were there). This should make good naps for us today. I was so tired from trying to keep up with the big kids. Do you like our group shoot. We could not get all 5 of us happy and looking at the camera. Can you tell Amelia is a 2nd child Mom let a 4.5 year old hold her for the picture! ( she was close by)

Mom's Rant

Do people think that if you have kids you should only eat at McDonald's. Some of mom's friends think she is crazy that she tackles taking 2 small kids to restaurants by herself. Mom thinks it is nice to get out of the house and doesn't like cooking if Dad is out of town. Mom would prefer to go to a restaurant as we don't really east fast food and it is easier so she does not have to get all the drinks ect. We are generally very well behaved. Of course we are kids so we do sometimes spill thing, drop things, talk a little louder. But, we have been going out to eat since we were born since my parents don't use a sitter much. Actually, I think only once since I was born at night. It not like Mom is taking us to 5 star places. She is taking us to kid friendly restaurants and she has noticed a lot of people give her dirty looks. Twice people asked to moved to other seats before they were seated next to us. Last nightly we were sitting next to what looked like a double date ( and they kept staring at me-like I was annoying them). Maybe someone should tell them if they don't like kids they should not go a restaurant on the night they have kids eat free. Here is a picture of us enjoying our meal last night.
