Amelia's 2 year checkup

Amelia had her 2 year checkup today. We had a wonderful morning together ( Baron was at school). The good thing is Amelia is very healthy and he was very impressed with her vocab. And she is still super tall and skinny. That is good for a girl! She was 36 inches ( Baron is 41) which is 94% and she was 27 lbs which is 56%. After her appointment we had some shopping to do so we ran by Target. Then we met a friend at Bread Co for lunch. The weather was wonderful. The pictures are from lunch and at the Doctors office.

Don't you just love her outfit. We have the nicest neighbors and one of them got this outfit for Amelia for her birthday and had it personalized with her initial. Nolan hates living in a subdivision. But, I think it is so nice as all the neighbors are terrific!

Baron showing her how

Baron was trying to be the teacher. Baron always wants to wear boots to play outside. even when it's 70. Then he complains that his feet are hot. go figure

More Amelia tractor

No dogs were harmed in the making of this video

Amelia is still learning this tractor thing. Baron was just a natural and could drive really good from day one. The poor dog got in the way today. Poor Semo
It has rained for a week. so our grasswas REALLY long and harder to drive on slower speeds. The good thing is that is got mowed tonight!

Baron's 2nd Baseball practice

We have been busy this week. And I have actually missed a few things and forgot to take pictures. Like our hiking trip with friends today.

More of Lance Armstrong

Oh no that is not Lance...It's Baron. Look at him go!

Parent Teacher Conference

Today was parent teacher conference at Baron's school. Yes they have conferences for 3 year olds. It was very short ( I was told this was good- no issues). It is just so funny how much a challenge Baron is for me. But, he is PERFECT at school and whenever I ask things they look at me like I am crazy. He is doing really good and he is the very youngest in his class. Actually, they made an exception and took him with his late birthday. But, since he misses the cut of for school...He has 2 more full years of preschool.

He knows and recognizes his first and last name
Can write his first name ( I think it's pretty bad...but the teacher is impressed)
Knows his colors
Knows all shapes except rectangle and diamond ( which he called kite)
Indientifies and knows all numbers to 10
He would not say his ABC's ( no surprise this is a weakness)
Holds sissors properly and can cut out shapes. Very good
Cut in straight line
Cut in a circle
Can glue
Can put on a coat
Can zip or button
Can hold a pencil correct
Can run, jump, and stand on one foot

This is what is funniest to me....But, what I hear from everyone. He takes toys from his sister all day long. Pushes her you name it he has done it.

He plays well with classmates ( very social and has tons of friends)
He shares his toys
He helps clean up
He praticipates in group activities
He listens in quiet time
He follows directions

He also knows his right hand and left hand

What can we say we are proud parents. Look like I may have a good student on my hands1 Yipee

I downloaded the wrong picture that I wanted for her 2yr. so you guys get a bonus pic!

Now and Then

Pictures of Amelia the day she was born, on her first b-day, and her 2nd birthday. She just keeps getting cuter and we are more in love with her everyday. How times flies and they grow up fast. But, we have been lucky to enjoy our kids with lots of love and time.

Ok I could not get her birth picture on her. It's on a older computer!

Tractor

Baron had a hard time understanding that they could not go outside. It was raining and too wet. But, he was just as excited that Amelia got her own. I hope they don't run me over!

Amelia's Birthday Week

This is the start of Amelia's birthday week. And Oma and Opa made it down for the weekend. Which is always a fun time for the kids. The kids both really are into there Oma and Opa. we had tons of fun. But, some activities we did not get to do. It rained most of the weekend. So the trip to the zoo was cancelled. And Amelia's did not get to use her present from Oma and Opa outside. On Friday we went to the transportation museum, the Cheesecake factory, and swimming. On Saturday Baron had soccer int he middle of the day. But, we had a little party for Amelia. It was so neat seeing her get so excited over her presents. She unwrapped them all and really was in to it this year. She got some really neat stuff. Then Mommy had made her a Barbie doll birthday cake and ice cream cupcakes. They were a big hit. Then Oma and Opa took the kids out to eat at a nice restaurant ( while Mom and dad went out by themselves). the kids we perfect and had numerous people stop them to say how how well behaved they were. ( too bad they put Mom through the ringer). On Sunday Amelia got her big present from Oma and Opa. Her very own tractor. It's sort of like Baron's but she has a radio. It's funny watching Amelia as she is very girly. she like to have her purse ( where she puts her lip gloss and jewelry). But, she loves to be rough and run around and play in the dirt. She is the best of both worlds! We sure had a great weekend and he birthday is not till Tuesday.

Magic House-Earth Day Event

We got to go to a special event at the Magic House (since we are members) it was on Earth Day. They had a new exhibit open on ways to be better for the environment. The had crafts. The kids could made a hat out of recycled items, a shopping bag out of a old t-shirt. they even had treats like chocolate pudding with gummy worms. And for the adults it was catered by Panera Bread. What a fun night made better that Dad got to join us!

Baron's Baseball Practice

Yes Baron is playing baseball too. He loves sports and has a fun time. And it is a great way for him to use his energy for something postive. Mom's schedule has got a lot more busier with all these sports. She has to take them to practices, games and some days there is 2 sports in 1 day. Baron of course was the only kids with baseball shoes and pants. he loved the baseball pants as he could really roll around in the dirt!

Cardinal Game

Baron was lucky to get to go to the his first Cardinal Game of the season on Saturday. I'm sure he will take in many this year with his Daddy. he is so great at the ballgame. This was a special one and Nolan's Dad joined them. Too bad they did not get a picture of the 3 of them! Nolan said guys are bad at stuff like that. It was a full day. They left at noon to catch batting practice. Where they even were able to catch a ball! And this was a record lenght game. I think it went to 20 innings! They stayed 10 innings then went out for pizza for 2 hours and watch there. Baron and Nolan finally made it home at 10pm. Then they stayed up to watch the rest of the game.

Magic House

On Friday we met our new friend Max at the Magic House. I think all the kids had fun. But, it was busy and almost too much for Mom to keep up with both of us! Then we had lunch out with our friend. Can you believe it I think I went the whole day with no pictures of Baron. Notice the last look on Amelia's face? Max poured water over her head with the watering can. He was a hoot to watch!
