You won't hear from me till the middle of the month. The kids and I are going on a little adventure. We are getting very excited and I am sure we will have many pictures to share when we get back.

Nolan's birthday

Friday was Nolan's birthday. He got to pick what he wanted to do. Since he is a "big" kid it worked out well as the kids also had a blast. I made him a ice cream cake shaped as a baseball. It was VERY HOMEMADE looking. But, it did taste good. We went out and had Imo's pizza. Yes my husband wanted pizza for his birthday dinner ( my tastes are more adult). Then we went to swing around fun town. We did go carts and mini golf. The kids loved the mini golf and they LOVE the go carts. Not the baby ones the big ones. The have a steering wheel so they think they are driving.

And yes I am pretty sure my "big kid" and "little kid" were taunting people as they passed them.

Magic House

Last weekend we went to a members only ice cream event at the Magic House. The kids loved it as Nolan was able to join in the fun.

Swimming

I was able to get a few videos of the kids swimming the other day. I usually can't as I am by myself. But, that day Nolan came. The kids love the water. We have probably only missed 2 or 3 days all summer of not going to the pool. Baron is a REALLY good swimmer. I am just bummed he did not do it for the camera. Everytime we go to the pool people ask about it. And if he took lessons and how old he is. He never has had lessons. He know 2 strokes ( free and breast) and can swimm across the whole pool. Amelia has also really got into doing the slide. She loves the water but can not swim.

My best bowling video is on my IPhone. It has Baron getting one of his spares and the final score. I tried to email to myself and it is too long. I never take the time to get off my phone so these will have to do. Now I need to talk to Nolan and see if he has any pictures from there fun outing on Sunday. He took Baron on a 1 day 10 mile float/ fishing trip. And Amelia and I had a great day!

Such a fun day

Becky and kids were in town ( leaving today) for over a week from New Orleans. They were VERY busy visiting family. That happens when you have a huge family! But, we did sneak in some fun time. On Saturday we went out to a excellent "adult" dinner. And then went and did some shopping. It was so nice to be waited on and not have to help kids with their meal. And it was nice at the stores to take our time. Even though I ended up only buying stuff for the kids. Then yesterday we had a very busy playfade. We went to Glazed and Confused. They kids enjoyed paiting the pottery. And since it is ready next week they want to wrap it up and give to Nolan for his birthday. Then we went out to lunch. Then we took all 4 kids bowling. Amelia has never been and Baron went once when he was 1 or 2. Not sure that counts! Amelia liked it. But, she had real trouble. She is not strong at all. The smallest ball they had was 6 lbs and that was too much for her. She had to set it down and try to roll it. It went down the lane but took along time. Baron liked bowling a lot. Of course he did since it involved physical activity. He was pretty good. He got 2 spares and scored close to 90. William and him keep asking who was winning. Gosh it starts young!

New Pet

Just what any Mom wants.....More work! Baron now has his own pet. He has been taking great care of it and spends time checking on him thoughout the day. He is a fence lizard named Ozzie. Baron enjoys so I guess that is all that matters. We shall see how long he lives.

Muny

While my parents were in town my Mom and I took Amelia to the Muny to see the Little Mermaid. The guys went and did go cart rides ( They did not take pictures). We had such a fun time. I had organized a group of 40 friends and we met at the Muny. Amelia really enjoyed. The show did not get over with till 10:30 and we thought for sure Amelia would fall asleep in the car. She never did and was dancing around the house when we got home. She was not in bed till midnight. I still can't believe she stayed up so late and it was not a disaster. It was such a cute show.

My parents also got a new dog. Buddy is getting really old and I guess they wanted to have another pet. His name is Milo and he is super cute and of course the kids loved playing with him.

4th of July

Over the 4th Oma and Opa come for a visit. We stayed at our property at the Black River and rented a RV. We are not really into the whole RV thing but we needed something since we don't have a cabin yet. Of course the kids loved spending time with grandparents. And the kids had the best time ever. But, us adults forgot how much work it was for this. I was HORRIBLE about taking pictures. We did a tubing trip one day. and one day Baron got to take his own Kayak out on a trip. He loves the outdoors.

Six Flags

I did not get any pictures. But, before the 4th I was able to take Baron to Six Flags. We had such a great day. It was just him and I. We went to the water park then went to car and changed clothes and went to the park area. We got there at noon and stayed till 9pm. Baron did so many waterslide and the wave pool. He is able to do most of the adult rides because of his height. He loved them all. And for some reason they were not very busy so we got to ride a lot of things 3 or 4 times. And a couple of times they did not even make us get off the ride. How fun. I am still trying to get over the 2 ice cream cones I bought for 15 dollars! It was yum and the time. I can't believe how he does not mind those rides that turn you upside down and stuff. After another year Nolan may have to take him as I am not sure that I can handle much more.
Those boys just jumped over and over into the water. They just keep going. Boys never seem to run out of energy!
