Perfect Weekend

We had the perfect weekend. Last weekend we were too busy so it was nice to SLOW down. On Friday I took the kids to the valley to meet Grammy. We ate lunch and went to a indoor playground place. They sell high end swingsets. They are awesome! But, some cost 10,000 dollars. Can't even imagine. Crazy!
Then on Saturday we mostly satyed around the house. We did take the kids to Orange Leaf for frozen Yogurt. Yum! But, half our town had that idea.
On Sunday we had our friends Scott and Jessica over for dinner. A nice easy one and it was fun. Josh enjoyed playing sports with Baron. And they have a baby. Kind of forgot what a baby was like. Amelia just kept wanting to show Hannah her babies. Like look I have one too. Not quite the same!

Basketball Game...Where the pictures??? HAHA

Nolan took Baron down to cape on Wednesday for a huge baskeball game. Actually, SEMO sold out the arena. Baron had a blast. But, Nolan only got a picture of him at dinner at Broussards. Yum! The kids loved valentines day. It was so fun. We had lots of treats, they each got a new toy, and had a party at school. Baron had basketball again this week. He loves playing. Actually, he just likes all sports. He has been wearing us at home. As he goes from one sport to another. Hockey in the garage, baseball in the backyard, bike riding, then when inside nerf baskeball in his room. I don't have any pictures of this on my camera. But, Baron has been doing math. He is actully really good at doing addition. We will put 12 problems on a page and come back and check and he usually only misses one. Amelia was excited at basketball that her friend Leah was there. They have knoe each other since they were babies. Leah is a little older so she is playing ont he younger league and her brother is on Baron's team. They were excited to give high fives when the boys ran the gym .

Where did the weekend go?

Oh my I knew it ahead of time. But, this was such a busy weekend. I am almost glad it is over so I can have a slower Monday. We went to a Semo VS SIUE basketball game. Semo had an alumni event before the game. We all had fun but did not get home till almost 11pm. Plus we stoped at Krispy Kreme on the way home to let the kids gets donuts.

Today we went to Eckert's in Illinois. They have a kids valentine thing. We went last year and it was nice so I wanted to do again. We had brunch, did a craft, face painting, and cookie decorating. What a fun time. But, we are all tired!!!

And I almost forgot Baron went to a swim ( grinch theme) birthday party. I am not used to this kind of pace. On top of all this I had a Pampered Chef show on Friday and did not get home till 11pm.

Maple Syrup

Last Saturday I was gone and the weather was not great. But, Nolan took the kids to a nature reserve and they had a whole thing about Maple Syrup. They got to tap a tree, eat real cooked maple syrup. But, this is the only picture I got from Nolan and it was taken from his phone ( which takes horrible pics)

Aren't they cute?

Just when you think you have had a hard day you walk in and find this. They decided to read books to each other. They fight a lot but at the end of the day they are best friends. And it melts my heart how both kids think of the other. When ever one is out and gets something they ask for one for the other.

I did not do that good with camera. And I just realized my camera setting were changed ( wonder who did that). So hopefully next week I do a better job of the camera

warmup

He started at the end for his warm up laps....but guess what he finished first. Wonder who that sounds like. S

Basketball

After months of waiting Baron's basketball started. He has been really into basketball lately. He has been playing hours a day and not wanting to stop. He has even been going over to our older neighbor boys house to shot hoops. We changed leagues this year. And we love it and are so impressed. He knows 4 boys on the team. Everyone in the league is in kindergarten. But, they let Baron play as he had playing experience last year (HAHA). They do drills, have a prayer time, make sure each player plays and starts the same number of games. Once they get into the game they will have actual refs. They will call a couple of things and when they have to do that they will stop play and explain while that is incorrect. Baron's coah is a younger kid. I would guess he is 15-20. ( I am getting old and can't tell these days). They all go though special training on working with kids and sports and he seemd real good with the kiddos. What I like most about Baron is his hustle. He listens to coaches/teacher great and always give 110%.
