Trip to the Zoo

On Monday Kirstin and I took our girls to the zoo. The cousins had a fun time. Baron was on his little trip to Kansas City with Oma and Opa. That reminds me I need to get pictures from that. I also have less pictures on my camera as I now have an I Phone and have been taking tons with that.

I have been bad

I have been gone from the blog almost this whole month. When you don't update regularly it gets a bit overwhelming thinking about where to start. I am going to try to do better and update at least once a week. We had a wonderful month. Just BUSY! Oma,Opa, Grandma, Kristin, and Kaija were her for a little over a week. Thanksgiving was nice. We went and got our Christmas tree and have had a ton of playdates.

Baron is also taking ice skating lessons again this year. He really likes. But, now that he is getting more advanced..they are already doing jumps. It is getting more girly. Yes I am the only Mom that makes there kid wear a helmet at this level. Better safe then sorry. He wants to do hockey real bad. But, I am trying to hold that off till he is older or changes his mind. We told him you have to be able to skate real good first.

Halloween

Well it finally came and went yesterday. Oh wow it was so much fun for the kids.....and adults. They loved there costumes. Were really into it all. Plus they went to all the doors and said trick or treat and thank you. They got a ton of candy. I guess people really load little cute kids up. They were so great about it to. We made them wait till we got home. Then we said they got 2 pieces. And I had no complaints! Then I put it all up and I have said nothing about it today ..Did they forget? We managed to trick or treat are whole neighborhood and each kids even got like 4 full size candy bars. Wow people were generous with them Off to wait for next year.

Last Soccer Game

We are so proud of Baron. On Saturday he had his last soccer game. He has grown so much during these 2 months. He was the very youngest and they even made an exception and took him on the team. so the team was filled with 6 year olds. Nolan and I realized that physically he was ok. Mentally, it was a bit much for his age. he was scared of all the people to watch the game. We had some horrible games where he would not even get on the field. We were all about ready to quit. but, we stuck with it and he ended up playing the last 4 games or so. He was always listening to his coach, cheering his teammates, ect. I loved seeing him blossom. Since Saturday was the last game they got a trophy. He was so proud of himself and I loved watching him be so happy.

October Running totals

In October I only ran 83 miles. Wow that is my lowest in a LONG time. I had my race at the first of the month and was happy with my time. But, since then I have been in a rut. no good races in the winter here to train for. I like training for a goal. And I had tons of aches and pains after my race. I will just chalk that up to old age! Anyways, my plan for November is to get back on track. I am running on a Thanksgiving day 5K. It should be fun. But, 5k's are nto really my thing! We shall see.
