Feb Running Totals

I ran ( I can't believe that high) 192 miles this month. I even missed a couple of days due to weather. But, on Friday afternoon ( the last day to offically change) I called and moved from the marathon to the half marathon for my big April race. I was kind of bummed about it. I had made it up to 17 miles ( and that was pretty easy). So I know that I would of been able to finish. But, running was kind of becoming consuming. I try to give my best to everything and I was failing. I was starting to feel sick and my back has been hurting. And I had tons of stuff where I need to be with the kids. This is the 2nd time I have tried to train for a marathon since having kids and it has not worked out. I am going to just do half's and shorter runs for now and maybe when the kids are older I can do another marathon. As when I do one I really want to run a fast time. I am not really into doing one just to finish as I have already done that! I have tons of St Louis friends doing tha half and Keri my friend in Kansas is coming in and doing the full. I won't be able to run with her. But, I can cheer her on as she finishes in under 4 hours. She has got so speedy!

Bounce U

The kids were invited to a birthday party this weekend at Bounce U. It was at 1:30 (naptime) so Amelia stayed home for nap. Plus it was for a child that turned 5 who Baron knows. And Baron got to go and have a special time with Mom. He had a blast.

Fun Night

In Friday night we went out to dinner. It was nice to get out of the house as a family. And afterwards we went to Lion's Choice they have mini ice cream cones ( which are a hit with the kids). Warm weather get her soon.

Nothing like a brother's help!

Yes Baron has taken it upon himself to help Amelia go to the bathroom. If I actully put sometime into it I could probably have her potty trained before 2. But, she likes to set on the toliet for a long time and we don't have tons of extra time.

Bye Bye Jibby

Yesterday we had our first nice weather day in a lontime. We had a great day. We played outside, rode bikes, scoters, had a snowball fight ( with what was left) , washed cars, played with friends, played hockey, and had a picnic. But, we also said good bye to our friend Jibby. He is a mini snowman we like a lot. We made it a few weeks ago and we have been saving him in the freezer. Of course today we are back to winter weather. But, maybe in a few weeks!!!

Way to Go Baron

Baron has been taking skate lessons. They were 6 weeks long then at the end of the 6 weeks there is a test to see if they can move onto the next level. He was the very youngest in the class it is 3.5 to 5
( so I lied to get him in since he is not 3.5). He passed his test only about half the students passed. The video is of most of his test. he had to be able to skate to the teacher, fall proper, get up after falling, jump, and march. I was thinking he may not pass so was happy that he did. He had a good time and it gave us something to do this winter. Now if Spring will come.

Birds

We are now obsessed with birds thanks to our Dad. He hung a bird feeder outside our kitchen window. And was really getting into all the different birds that were visiting. Then he took it one step further and started hanging fruit from the trees to see if can get more kinds of birds. When we see a new one we look it up. They are very pretty. We have got visits from some real pretty birds.

Lone Elk Park

On Sunday we went on a drive to Lone Elk Park. We are all going crazy and ready for winter to end. It's been pretty bad this year. The kids really wanted to get out of the car ( but it is nto allowed with the animals). But, Dad let us when there was no animals around. Yes Amelia does not have any shoes on. She was only out a short time and keep taking them off. We had a fun day. Today Mom went to Lowe's which was just like a field trip. We "drove tractors" for quite sometime after Mom looked at her things. Now that I am pretty much grown out of the fit throwing ( thanks goodness) it was now Amelia's turn since she did not want to leave.

Why we have been gone

We have been gone for awhile. So we have not had much "free time" for fun things. Because most of our extra times have been made up of Doctor appointments. Amelia has had the same double ear infection since Christmas and she can't get it cleared up. Finally yesterday they gave her an antibiotic shot ( 2 actually) in her legs. It was pretty rough but they said this should work. Thankfully.

Baron has had coughing spells for over a year. He would cough so hard he would throw up or break blood vessels in his eyes,ect. They would always say he might have asthma since it goes along with some other issues he has. Allergies, ect. Well for the last week I did not think he seemed well. But, I could not finger out what was going on. He had no temperature. Well last Thursday he seemed fine in the morning so I sent him to school. They called me and said he does not look well and is saying he is so tired he would not lift his head up. This is not like him.I took him straight to the Dr and he was having a full blown asthma attack and was not getting enough oxygen. After much medicine and some stress and another Dr appointment I am hoping he is back on track. He is going to a specialist next week so we should be able to get this all figured out. Because we don't want what happened last week to happen again!
