October Running totals

In October I only ran 83 miles. Wow that is my lowest in a LONG time. I had my race at the first of the month and was happy with my time. But, since then I have been in a rut. no good races in the winter here to train for. I like training for a goal. And I had tons of aches and pains after my race. I will just chalk that up to old age! Anyways, my plan for November is to get back on track. I am running on a Thanksgiving day 5K. It should be fun. But, 5k's are nto really my thing! We shall see.

How could you get mad at this face?

Even though right after these pictures she had a huge 2 year old fit. She wanted popcorn ( kettle corn) and she remembered that Oma bought her some over the weekend. Well she could not seem to understand that they only do Kettle corn on the weekend. She just knew she got it there before. Oh well I took her to the car kicking and screaming.

Pumpkin Patch take 2

Today we went back to the pumpkin patch. So much nicer during the week. It was so much fun. We went with friends again. And Baron got to pal around with his friends Connor and Nathan. It was nice they ran around playing like boys while us Mom chased and made sure our younger ones were not getting hurt. Amelia once again was the only girl. Wow some of my friends need to have a girl for her. She did manage to make a friend on the tire swing and they even talked a older girl into pushing them. Way to go Amelia! Afterwards we took all the kids out to lunch. I feel sorry for who got that table! It is so nice there. They have pumpkins, slides, playground, and a strawmaze. The boys loved chasing one another though there.

Happy Birthday Baron

We had all Baron's brithday stuff over the weekend. But, on his birthday I took them to Chuck E Cheese for the first time. They have been talking about it forever. I had no idea where they new about it from. This I realized that they watch Super Why on PBS on Tuesday and Thursday while I clean for a half hour and they have commercials for it. Well they loved it and so did I. They place was super clean and really nice. They had su much fun. and Amelia went crazy over Chuck E. He made an apperance and Amelia chased him thoughout the store. He even gave her about 70 tickets and the next day she has still been talking about him

Please excuse Amelia's crazy hair. We got it late the day before from the Magic House and no time for naps. So it was messed up from her being Jessie!

A busy few days

We have had so much fun with Baron's birthday and Halloween coming up. Wow I need a day to recover from all the fun!

We carved pumpkins on a few nights.

Went to a Members only Halloween party at the Magic House. My pics were kind of messed up as Nolan changed a setting and I did not know at the time how to change back. Kids loved this and it was our 3rd year going! We also went with our friends. Baron is getting to best little buds with Nathan. Baron is going to be sad when he starts kindergarden next year. Baron missing the cutoff!

Baron's Birthday Weekend

Baron celebrated his birthday over the weekend. We had a great time. It was made even better by wonderful weather! Oma and Opa even came for the birthday. On Friday we all took the kids swimming. That is what they said they wanted to do. Thanks to Opa I did not even have to get in the water. On Saturday it was a busy day. Baron had his soccer game. We are so happy watching him play. He is really enjoying it and doing well now. Before he was very scared at games with the crowds on the sidelines. But, now he has adjusted and we are glad we stuck with it. We had some rough games at first. He is the very youngest on the team and it go to 6 year old. Actually, he is not even old enough for the team. They made an exception and took him.

After that we made a quick clothes change and went to the pumpkin patch. Fun was had there. But, I am kind of spoiled as I do a lot during the week when they are not busy. And they were so busy it kind of made me crazy! We have a tradition where both kids get to pick out whatever pumpkin they want. But, they have to be able to pick it up. As you can see the kids are now able to pick up pretty big pumpkins.

After the pumpkin patch we went back to our house for a little family party. I had made the cakes myself. He wanted camping and tractors....His 2 favorite things. They cakes could of been better. But, I am newer at the cake decorating and have thought about taking a class!

Baron got lots of neat gifts. Bounce house, lots of building blocks ( he loves to build), books, clothes. But, his favorite things were his wallet, head lamp, and binoculars, Yep he got really nice real ones. I really hope he takes nice care of them. And I hope Dad does not steal them. He loves camping and anything outside. He even like those better then the bounce house.

Also, if you notice the dress on Amelia. My Mom and I made it the night before. I want to learn to sew. But, I still need a lot of work. Coming from a person that has trouble with buttons. Maybe I will ask for a sewing machine for Christmas.

Then our last activity of the day was he got to pick where he wanted to go to dinner. He wanted Bandana's BBQ. Weird choice I thought for a little man. But, it was his day and we all love BBQ. I think everyone had a wonderful day. And now off to a busy week. I think it is going to be 3 weekend before we have a slower weekend. BOO!

Johnnie Brocks

I almost forgot we had a awesome bonfire and dinner with friends on Friday. But, I did not get any good pictures.

After soccer on Sat. we took Baron to Johnnie Brocks. It's a halloween superstore. Baron loves everything about Halloween so as he would say he went "nuts".

Then at night we did a art project and they got to paint ceramic things.

Soccer Practice

Baron is finally doing really good at soccer. he has always liked it. He just got nervous in front of all the people. And some of the older kids! This is from practice ( they had uniforms on for picture day). After wards his buddy Connor and him went out for ice cream. What a fun night!
