Yesterday we had a 108 degree day. It set a record for the day and all time highest June. I'm the silly girl that doesn't mind it. Plus we had 20 percent humidity. We spent the whole day at the pool. It was a perfect day! We had chairs in the shade and the water is still cool at the pool
Baron had a great time in summer school. It was such a positive experience. I am so glad we did. We are so blessed to live in an awesome school district.
He got green days for all days of summer school. That makes this and 3 years of preschool with perfect daily reports. And the teacher sent me "Mrs. Brunnworth" a note saying how sweet Baron is and how she enjoyed him. Glad he does so well at school. Because he isn't always sweet at home. He can be quite a handful!! Haha.
Baron had perfect attendance. They drew his name for this nice prize today at the all school assembly.
Amelia and I have spent the last 3 days at the pool. We have both had so much fun. I don't have many pictures. Just one my friend took. I have been leaving my phone/camera in the car. What a difference a year makes. I have had to pull her away after 4 hours everyday. I almost feel guilty and she must of did the slide a 100 times today. And I just got to lay out and watch. She plays with all her friends. It's so cute! Today she was holding hands walking to the slide with her friend. Then taking turns going down. Amelia and one of her friends Annie.
I don't expect much from a birthday at my age. And considering it was a Monday and Nolan was at work I was thinking it was going to be boring. Wrong I had a great day. Started by a 5 am spinning class at the gym, Amelia gymnastic class, taking her swimming for 3 hours, going to swing around fun town. Then I came home and Nolan had brought me my favorite meal from a restaurant in Cape Girardeau ( he was there for work).
They let her go by herself.
Didn't know they would be getting me so wet!
Working on her balance beam skills. She has trouble getting her leg out
We went down to our cabin on the Black River. Nolan took a day off work so we had 3 days. I didn't take a bunch of pictures. But, we all had a great time creating memories.
Baron and Nolan went on a day kayak trip. Everyone gets a kick out of Baron in his own kayak.
Amelia is hooked on fishing. She caught 3 different types and about 8 fish. Including a 12 inch small mouth. Baron was jealous! She just was catching everything. He stole my tube
Yes Baron drives when we are down there. It's private roads so not the same rules. He actually is just about 100 percent perfect. Nolan does the gas/brakes
Entrance to our property
Ice cream for lunch. Notice Baron's Hoosier shirt. He found it and loves it for camping. It's not something I would buy. But, in Missouri boys need cut off shirts for camping. I think a guys exposed armpit it about the worse thing ever.
"jail" at the little ice cream store we like to stop at.
Baron had basketball again last week. He was sooo tired. He was at the Cards game till 11 the day before and had school all day. He is really enjoying it. His coach is now sending him emails on what to work on each week.

Amelia and I went to the movie yesterday while Baron was in school. Baron only has 5 more days of school. He really did well and loved it. And he never complained about missing out on fun stuff at home.
Baseball again last night. He went 2/2. Not the longest hits. But, he hit both times on the first pitch. He only has 3 more games left. He is pretty bummed. He wants to play fall baseball. But, unless he plays 8u there is no options. At 8 the player has to pitch and Baron and his team is not ready for that. He has several really good people on his team. But, I can't imagine anyone would be able to pitch it.
Amelia got to go to the Cardinals game on Sunday. It was hot and she walked a ton. But, she had a total blast and Nolan said she was PERFECT! It only could of been better if they would of won! Amelia was very hot, sweaty, and covered in sunscreen. But, Nolan said it was CRAZY how many people stopped him to tell him how cute she is.
Amelia had gymnastics today. She had so much fun. She did great and listened to her coach. She even colored her a picture. I'm so impressed with how they teach and really help the kids Cutest thing I have ever seen. Amelia and this other girl were giving each other high fives after each try. She was able to make it all the way across. Of course I missed that.
I am a stay at home mom to Baron and Amelia. And wife to Nolan for 11 years. I love to run and workout. I am in my mid 30's trying to balance life. We lead a very active lifestyle. We hike, camp, swim, and pretty much enjoy anything outdoors.
