Baron finished another week of summer school. He did great and got perfect reports each day. He really enjoys.... But does have trouble getting up in the morning.

He had basketball camp again. He really enjoys it and has learned a ton. The coach is very advanced. He sent the kids home with notebooks on want to work on. Then the next day Amelia and him were in the garage playing. He had a whistle on, small basketball goal up, and was teaching Amelia exactly how he was taught. So funny!

Amelia and I had a nice week. The weather was pretty crummy. We didn't do really anything to special.

On Saturday we went to New Town in St Charles and did races. They had a band, tons of activities for the kids. It was for a charity. They had some problems with the course. The kids was supposed to be 1.2 and it was 1.3. Then my race was supposed to be 3.8 (6.2k for how many seconds someone is diagnosed with melanoma). Well about 100 racers ( me included) missed a turn. The volunteer on the course left her post to help someone in need of medical attention. And it was not marked with signs. Oh well things happened. So we ran 4.5 miles. .7 more then the race.
Nolan and I were both really proud of the kiddos. They pushed themselves and didn't give up. Amelia's pace was under 11 mins and Baron was under 10 mins. Amelia said while she was running she was going to do her best. She got so many cheers. She passed so many people and actually finished in the front of the pack. A lot of kids had to walk.

This cracked me up. While I was running Amelia made friends with some older girls. They played all kind of games together like Duck Duck Goose. Well we looked up and we didn't see her. Well shy Amelia was dancing on the stage with the band. Funny!
