Last soccer game

Amelia had her last soccer game. She didn't really like it. It had got VERY cold. I had on my heavy winter coat and I was still freezing. And most of the time Amelia was in her own little world.

But, she liked the girls, slushies after the game. And oh my gosh when she got the trophy she went crazy. Yelling "I have always wanted one, its just like Baron's". Crazy girl! So now she said she wants to play a lot of other sports.

I'm just glad she made it through the season.

Cardinals

I am just a little behind on this post ( story of my life)  Anyways, our Cardinals made it to the Playoffs again.  The fell one game short of the World Series.  But, Baron was lucky enough to go to a second round game.

Pumpkin Patch

We finally made it to the pumpkin patch. There was a few things I wanted to do this fall and we just did not get to it. The kids sports schedule was crazy. Thankfully, baseball ended, Amelia has her last soccer game today, then Baron just has 2 more weeks of soccer.

Baron's Birthday weekend

It was kind of a world wind. My parents came in at 1:30 am on Friday and we left for Kansas City at 8am and got home at 11pm. My moms Aunt health is failing and she is in a assistant living facility. So we went and visited.

Saturday we had Baron's little family party. Both kids had soccer games so they were dressed crazy and looked pretty rough. Baron also got to pick where he wanted to eat. He picked Buffalo Wild Wings. Sports on all those TV's! He got some really neat things.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Last week was conferences for both kids. After a sort of rough start for Baron he is doing amazing. He had a harder time being away. Was really missing out on time with the parents

Both kids got all "P's" which is equal to an A for little kids. Amelia was screened for kindergarten and scored 98 percentile and 1st grade level. Both kids have a ton of friends and the teacher loves them. Amelia is so blessed with a teacher that thinks the world of her. Ms. Caroline and Amelia have a special bond. And I know Amelia is going to miss her next year.

Funny story: Amelia was talking to a boy ( her good friend at school) and gave him her correct phone number and told him " give this to your mom so we can have a playdate"

Baron has got 100 percent on all his school work except this sheet from last week.... In MUSIC

Poor kid blessed with my music skills!

He was supposed to circle if the music was high or low that the teacher played. We tried to go over with him and he could not get. He kept saying it all sounded loud so I guessed on everyone!

Rock And Roll Half Marathon

Last weekend I ran in the Rock and Roll half marathon. Had such a fun time... Even if it wasn't my fastest race. I'm not even posting my splits as I am too lazy to get my Garmin out today to check.

Gymnastics

Last week by chance Amelia got to meet Aly Raisman she won a gold medal at the Olympics in gymnastics

Speaking of gymnastics. Amelia passed her "test" and now is moving up to advanced gymnastics. So excited for her as she loves it

Fall festival

Last night was the fall festival at Baron's school. We ate dinner at school, had games, cake walk, bounce houses, it was a lot of fun for everyone. I did not take many pictures!

Neither of the kids are lacking in the confidence area. Quote from Amelia " everyone thought I was cute and I was super cute". I think she gets a big head as so many nice people stopped her to tell her that.

1st day subbing

Yesterday I had my first day subbing. I did kindergarten and had 26 little people. I survived, I enjoyed it, and think I did a good job. It was sort of like being at home since I am used to that age group. There has been jobs everyday. We live in a huge school district. For example, I have around 10 schools within 5 miles of my home. The kids think its pretty cool. Amelia really wants me at her preschool one day. We shall see. Now I am limiting myself to once a week ( on a day Amelia goes to preschool).

Today

Lets see

Left home at 7:20 went and had breakfest at Baron's school and went to the book fair. It was a special day for families.

No good pictures. Baron was not into that.

Went to the gym

Took Amelia to gymnastics

She is getting awesome. Took a big fall from the high balance beam and managed to recover

Dropped Amelia off at school

Picked up my ID to substitute teach. I have been approved for awhile. But, took along time for me to get processed. I have already got 3 calls and have a couple of teachers that I am on their list.

I only want to do once a week or so. If I do on the day Amelia goes to school she only has to go to a sitter for about 3 hours ( which won't kill her). I still want to enjoy my last year with her home. Next year I can sub more when both kids are in full time school.

They had to call me MS. As Mrs. Does not fit with my last name on the badge. Haha

Went grocery shopping

Unpacked groceries

Now I am up at Baron's school as I help teach a kids fitness class for 1.5 hours after school. It's 5 days a week. But, only 1 week a month

Once I get home I have to cook dinner, do homework, baths, and pack everything up for tomorrow.

This is why I am always ready for bed at 9am.

Go Halloween Run

This weekend I ran the Halloween 10k and the kiddos ran the 1 mile run. We love this event. They really do it up. The kids get so much stuff. Nice shirts, medals, and LOTS of food treats at the end.

We had a great family morning. Baron ran his mile in 8:45. I don't think he really pushed it. He talked to his friend Gus the whole time. And Amelia ran 8:51. I can't believe she can go so fast. At one point she passed Baron! If these kids get any faster I won't be able to keep up.

Look at all the bling! Amelia's mouth is even full!

Baron had his friend Gus. They go to different schools and haven't seen each other since summer. So they would not stop talking !

Gotta stretch before you run

Baron's field trip

Baron went to the zoo last week. He had fun and enjoyed riding the bus fast on the highway. But, it's kind of weird. They had no programming and the kids just spent the day on there own. Each mom was supposed to have another kid in there group they were responsible for. But, because so many parents signed up it was just Baron and I. We did meet up with classmates a few times. But, Baron really wanted to do his own thing with me. Since normally he has Amelia with him and they have to do what the other person wants too!

Didn't take a lot of pics... We have done it all before.

Amelia's field trip

Last week Amelia had her field trip. It was a two hour thing at the pumpkin patch. She had so much fun. She got a pumpkin, hayride, bounce house, snack, maze, and playground.

For some reason she really likes Perry the boy behind her. I hope it's not something in her future. As Baron does not like girls yet.
