Mom's Running

Mom has decided to make a running comeback. She has not run as serious since she had my sister. But, she ran 101 miles in January ( Pretty good since she missed 7 days). And she is going to run the St. Louis Half Marathon in April and the Chicago Marathon in October. We are so excited to see all this. Thanks to our friend Keri (through her work) mom was able to reserve an apartment in downtown chicago for the race. Hopefully, we can make it without her on the weekend mornings!

Hiking at Hickory Canyons Natural Area

I was able to take advantage of the nice weather today and go on a afternoon hike with my Daddy. We saw deer, short leaf pines, and a waterfall. I wanted to share some pics . My Mom stayed at home and did some things with Amelia ( but, Dad took her camera) so she got no pics of her today. Tomorrow Mom said is her day and we have a lot planned. Next weekend the weather might be nice again and Amelia is going to hike with me. We have 2 backpacks so we can go together.

My First Hockey Game

As many of my friends know I love sports like my Daddy. I have been to many games. Today was a special day as I got to go to my first hockey game. It was so much fun. Before the game Daddy took me to eat at steak and Shake. I had the grilled cheese which is my favorite ( my Mom leaves the butter off of them at home). Then before the game I was given one of the practice pucks. My Dad only bought one seat as the ticket was really good. There was a empty seat for me next to Daddy- but it was to heavy to stay down with my bottom. I watched the game till the third period and I fell asleep on my Dad's lap. Then we went home and I stayed awake the whole way home ( I did not get home till 11pm). This is the latest I have ever been up. And if you know my Mom she is strict with bed times ( something about she needs time to recover from me). It was a great evening and I even managed to wake my sister up when I got home. I am going to ask Mom if we can go to another hockey game tomorrow.

More Snow Day Pics

Baron's snow day!!

We got more snow last night so it made for a fun day! My Dad even stayed home with me. He was supposed to go out of town but his meetings were canceled since they got a ice storm. We played in the snow and built a igloo. Don't worry Opa I had a hat on ( I just put the coonskin cap on for photos)! I thought I would share some pics.

I have to go to bed early tonight as I need to rest up. Tomorrow I am going to my first hockey game ( St. Louis Blues) and the game does not start till 7:30. And I am used to my 8 pm bedtime.

Thanks to Oma and Opa I had the best looking snow pants!

Amelia's 9 Month Doctor Appt

I had my 9 month Dr. appoitment today. I am healthy as can be. I weigh 18.5 lbs ( much smaller than my brother at this age) and am 28.5 inches long. As the Dr put it I am tall and skinny! My brother was over 20lbs at 6 months old! But, hey Mom used to feed him all the time -since he was so vocal. The Doctor did not think I would be walking at 10 months like my brother. I think that is ok as Mom said I do a lot of special things that Baron was not able to do at my age. My Mom is going to start weaning me off the bottle now. Baron was done with bottles at 10 months. But, she told the doctor that she may let me go longer. What can I say I am Mom's favorite!

I was very excited as I went to bed tonight Baron told me good night. He said good night baby ( if I could just get him to call me by my name).

Helping Mom

Mom was correct we were snowed in today. Mom decided to rearrrange my room (sounds like fun!!) . I am posting some pictures of me helping Mom. She changed my furniture around and organized my clothes I have grown out of. While I was helping Mom Baron my brother was in the kitchen helping himself to some cake. He knows he is not supposed to get into things like that.

I am also including a picture of me in some new pajamas from Oma and Opa. They bought them in the fall and told me I had to grow into them. If Mom would of waited any longer to give to me - I would of grown right out of them. You might notice I am in distress. I was very upset tonight as my top tooth was coming through at that very moment. Mom says I am pretty calm and since I don't cry much she better get a picture quick.

Baron's Animals Sounds

Today I took Baron to the Dr. as he still seemed sick. Well he just has a virus like we all had. We thought he was doing better he even went with me and was such a good boy when Amelia got her 9 month photos taken. After his nap he took a turn for the worst and got sick on me ( how fun)! We had him laying around tonight and thought we would make a few movies of him after Amelia went to bed. Now it is snowing a lot and we should have about 7 inches by tomorrow morning. I guess I will be homebound tomorrow (unless I can get out atleast to go to the gym).

One Sick Weekend

Not to get into details but we have all been on deaths door this weekend. Wow !! What a virus. I thought I would show some pics of me laying around. This was the first time my sister has got sick and she acted ok during the day as she got sick at night. My sister is such a good sleeper she did not even wake Mom up. And mom can hear everything! Hopefully, Monday starts off better for us.

What a busy day!

Well it's me Amelia writing.. I don't post as much as my brother. We had such a busy day. First we had our Parents as Teachers evaulation. We both scored way ahead. Then my brother was doing dishes and then we went to the mall. We got to play at the play area, and my brother got to ride a train. She said I was to small- But, I did not want to ride anyways! I like more girly things. Then Mom got me some new pajamas and Baron a basketball. We also got to go to Cabela's to look at fish and animals. We were so tuckered out we fell asleep on the way home.

When we got home. Not too much fun. Mom had planned to leave us tonight to go to dinner with a friend. We always tell her to get out of the house- as this would of been the first time she left at night since I was born. And she got sick and had to call her friend and cancel. Mom said these bugs just can't seem to leave our house this winter.

Nice Weather

Today we had such nice weather almost 60 degrees. It was so nice as we have had a rough winter. So Mom took us outside a bunch. ( Excuse my clothes- I like to dress myself and sometimes I don't get it right!) We went on a run in the running stroller- it has been a few months since Mom ran with us. And it showed she was slow and she kept stoping to say hi to all her senior citizens friends in the neighborhood. she also took me to ride my bike but did not get any good pics.

Tomorrow we should have some good pics as she said she is taking us to the mall. And they have a train that we can ride and a great play area.

Sorry to post so much. My Mom got a new camera from Oma and Opa for Christmas and she has been going crazy with it. She shot three videos in a hour today! You think she would spend more time watching us. Thats it for tonight as 8pm is my bedtime.

Bath Time and New Stroller

Mom wanted to take a pic of me at bath time swimming and she also got one of me pushing Amelia in our new stroller. She better not let Dad find out that she has another stroller. Do you really think we need 7?

Out To Dinner

So Mom took us out to dinner tonight. Something about not wanting to cook since Dad was out of town. It was fun. But, Amelia is mad at me she found out that when she was at the sitter today I got to go swimming with Mom. But, she was getting me back at the restaurant as she said I was too big for a highchair. Mom makes me sit in one when it is just her- because she does not want me running off, standing, reaching across the table. I tell her that is normal for a two year old.

My First Post

I have been telling Mom for awhile about the new technology and starting a blog. So she finally gave in. Not much going on here as we have been sick and Dad got his Widsom teeth out. I am going to include a pic from me at the Magic House last week. Hopefully, Mom has some fun things planned for this week! My sister did not go- we will get some pictures of her soon ( if Mom can catch us both now)
