Yum Jumz

The Magic House had a kids flea market this year. We signed the kids up. We want them to learn about hard work and the value of money. It was a great experience for them. We worked on the kids sales ( customer service) and Baron making change for customers. We put hours into these silly bracelets. The kids had to sort them and string them. I tied the knots on them. The flea market was a mix of handmade items and garage sale kids items. The kids did not sell a ton. And when you factor in the cost of the table, supplies, gas, time, we made NO money. But, we would do again. Such a great experience for the kids. In a era where children have so much we want them to know you don't get those things without hard work. On the way home we drove by the World Bird Sanctuary and the kids donated money. We were going to donate 20% but they wanted to more. And next time they want to donate to help dogs. Then we drove through Lone Elk park and were lucky enough to get close to a herd of bison. What a treat.

gymnastics and soccer

Saturday was filled with both gymnastics and soccer. I did not get any good pictures on Baron. And bummer he did not score any goals this week. But, he had a blast. Amelia LOVES gymnastics. We are so happy we put her into it. Once she finishes the YMCA we are going to enroll her at just a gymnastic studio.

Ice Skating

Both kids are taking ice skating this year. Baron is on his 3rd year and Amelia just started. The both love it. It is fun to watch them and we are just glad they are having fun!

Baron ( who has not napped in a year) fell asleep standing up on the train. Like I said before both kids walked all day long.

Amelia pooped out in Nordstrom. They walked all day long!

Chicago

We were so lucky the kids and I got to meet Oma and Opa in Chicago for a few days. What a blast the kids had. We took the train up and had a ton of fun. Oma and Opa took Amelia to American Girl. She picked out the Hawaiian doll which is the girl of the year. We did all the tourist stuff at Navy Pier. They also loved taking the water taxi. And of course it would not be a trip without good food. We ate at McCormick and Schmick's twice and had lunch at American Girl. Baron loves food just like his Mom. But, he cracks us up as he is a picky eater. He does like the finer things...the one picture he is eating lobster bisque. He loves crab, shrimp, calamari, lobster, and you should of heard the waiter when he ordered creme brulee. We had such a great 4 days. Now we are counting down till Baron's birthday for there next visit.
