Gateway Cup

On Saturday there was a huge bike race in St. Louis. Is attracts riders from all around the world and even some Tour de France Riders. I know nothing about bike riding. But, this was over 4 days and the racing lasted all day. There was classifcations based on sex and abilty. It was crazy to watch it was fast races and each day there were major crashes. The reason we went to it was they had kids races. Baron and Amelia were in the same age range. It was a intersting day as it was hot ( 100plus) when we went to the race. We knew a storm was coming in and was going to bring 70 degree weather. It was supposed to come later in the day. So right before the kids race the heaviest rain I have even seen came down. They let the kids race. But, we got no pictures we were soaked and we had a long walk to our car in the storm. Amelia did good finishing the race. And Baron won the race. All kids got a ribbon and shirt. Baron got a Build a Bear for winning. Which he has not set down for 2 days. I think Baron was the only kid in his age group without training wheels. Funny to me as he never had training wheels and have been riding his big bike for 2 years. To celebrate the big win we went to Ted Drewes afterwards. Yum!
