Baron did a triathlon

What an amazing wonderful experience for Baron. Wish I could of got better pictures. Not the easiest when on the course trying to watch.

It was very official. Timed by Fleet Feet. No help on course from parents, Ect. Even tying shoes!

We had to leave our house at 6:30. 7 am gear check in and 8 am race.

All the Brunnworth boys were racing. This is Baron with all his boy cousins.

All marked up and ready to race. At first he was embarrassed over his "jammers" but then he saw other kids with them. And realized he would save time not changing at the transition area. Now he loves them!

The swim I was most nervous over. He is not on swim team and had to go 25 meters. And he could not put his feet down ( as this pool is 5 feet in the lap lane). I called and asked (haha). I had visions of him getting passed and holding the rope.

His competitive nature came in and he was able to swim the whole way. It wasn't the fastest and not pretty. But, I was very happy.

His cousin Brock and him.

Swimming his heart out. Close to the end. Yes that is his cousin flying by him. He is on swim team and an excellent swimmer. Baron has never had a lesson. Just me and the pool

40 degrees putting a shirt on for the bike ride. It was 1 mile

No pictures on the bike. But, Baron and Brock were in first place and someone had left a post and the boys turned wrong and rode off the course. It was not their fault. It resulted in them being "missing" for awhile and police searching for them. I was one ticked off Mom. Now my son was lost and out of the chance for a trophy.

The race was very nice about it and handled it professional. So I am ok about it. Both boys had no idea they were off course. So they finally made their way back and finished the race.
They just ended up biking a few miles!

Baron pushed it and finished the run strong

He was so excited and loved it. He wore his medal all day and he still thinks he won!
