Dad has to go to Vegas for work in June. So he invited Mom along and they are going together without us. They are going ahead of time and going to the Grand Canyon to hike it. Today they got the paperwork in the mail and they were excepted ( it is very hard to get a pass for this hike). It is going to be so fun for them and we will have a blast with Oma and Opa. They are coming down to watch us for the week.
We hope Mom and Dad are carefull. On the paperwork today (among other things said) it says in bold: Experience has shown that trips such as the one you requested all too often result in off-itinerary camping, injury, and occasionally even death.
